Lead Product Designer (UX/UI)
Build the native mobile experience for ADA, ensuring ultra-low latency voice interaction and seamless UI performance.
Role Overview
UPMIC is looking for a talented Senior Mobile Engineer to lead the development of ADA, our next-generation voice AI assistant. This is a high-impact role where you will build the primary touchpoint for our users, bridging the gap between complex AI models and seamless human interaction.
You will own the mobile architecture (iOS and/or Android), ensuring ultra-low latency for real-time voice processing and delivering a buttery-smooth user interface. Working closely with our AI researchers and product designers, you'll translate cutting-edge speech recognition capabilities into an intuitive mobile experience.
This role is based in our Shenzhen or Beijing hub. If you are passionate about the future of voice-first interfaces and want to build products backed by robust semiconductor supply chains, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect & Build: Lead the development of the ADA mobile application from the ground up, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Voice Optimization: Implement and optimize real-time audio streaming and processing pipelines to achieve near-zero latency in voice interactions.
- UI/UX Excellence: Collaborate with the design team to build pixel-perfect, highly responsive user interfaces with smooth animations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work tightly with backend and AI teams to integrate complex APIs and on-device machine learning models.
- Mentorship: Establish mobile engineering best practices, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional experience in native mobile development (Swift/Objective-C for iOS, or Kotlin/Java for Android).
- Deep understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, memory management, and multithreading.
- Proven experience working with audio/video frameworks (e.g., AVFoundation, AudioRecord) and real-time streaming protocols.
- Strong track record of publishing high-quality apps to the App Store or Google Play.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a product-minded approach to engineering.
Preferred Qualification
- Experience with cross-platform frameworks (e.g., Flutter, React Native) is a plus, though our core focus is native performance.
- Familiarity with C++ for integrating cross-platform audio processing libraries.
Why UPMIC?
- Competitive Compensation: Top-tier salary packages and equity options designed to reward your impact.
- Premium Gear: Fully equipped with the latest MacBook Pro, testing devices, and AI productivity tools.
- Health & Balance: Comprehensive medical coverage and generous annual leave to keep you recharged.
- Global Exposure: Work on high-impact problems alongside industry leaders across our global nodes.
